Vote Row A for decades of financial experience, responsible oversight and dedication to Ridgefield.
BOF Colleagues Back Rettger, Okrongly
We are members of the Board of Finance. One of us, Dave Ulmer, has served on the Board for 21 years and as its Chair for 13 years. We enthusiastically endorse our BOF colleagues, Mike Rettger and Andrew Okrongly, for reelection. Both serve with tremendous energy and careful, expert attention to the financial health of our town with budgets that protect taxpayers, while embodying the community’s values and priorities for our town.
Mike Rettger, BOF Chair, brings over 35 years of financial services industry experience in senior management, operational and financial analysis roles. He is a 33-year town resident who, with his wife Terry, raised their family here. Mike served on the Charter Revision Commission and the town’s Form of Government Committee. The Board of Selectpersons chose Mike for those positions because of the value his participation brings to those roles.
Andrew Okrongly, a Ridgefield native and RHS grad, moved back to Ridgefield after starting his career along with his wife, Mariah, also a native Ridgefielder, and they are raising their three young children here. As an appointee of the Board of Selectpersons, Andrew serves on the town’s Pension Committee to oversee the retirement assets of our police officers, fire fighters and school and town employees. Andrew just completed service on the Senior Tax Credit Committee, charged by the Board of Selectpersons to address tax credits for seniors.
We are confident that, with their reelection, Mike Rettger and Andrew Okrongly will be instrumental to the success of the Board of Finance in enabling the town to deliver high-quality services through responsible budgets to safeguard Ridgefield’s financial health, and to plan for the town’s future long-term fiscal and planning stability.
