Graf, Sigel, Rice and Malhotra for BOE
As a former Connecticut Superintendent of Schools for 20 years (Newtown, Region 10, Cooperative Educational Services) and President Emeritus of the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents, I know the critical importance of having talented, experienced and caring community members serving on the Board of Education.
The BOE works best with members who have varied skill sets that match the responsibilities inherent in running a quality school district, including financial, educational and technological expertise. Board members should also be in sync with the educational goals of the community.
To this end, we are very fortunate that four outstanding candidates have stepped up to support Ridgefield’s students. All four bring a wealth of valuable experience and a strong commitment to serving our community. I enthusiastically support:
Kathryn Graf, experienced Certified Public Accountant with Fortune 500 experience, Scott Sigel, visionary non-profit CEO and education advocate, Angela Rice, lifelong teacher, administrator, and Ridgefield PTA leader, and Tina Malhotra, our current BOE Chair, an extraordinary leader on the Board of Education and in a variety of civic organizations serving Ridgefield.
Together, this excellent team will bring creativity, financial expertise, educational experience, and executive leadership to our Board of Education. All are committed to continuous improvement for our school system. I hope you will join me in voting Row A for Graf, Sigel, Rice and Malhotra on November 4.
