To You, Fellow Ridgefielder,
As a neighbor who never misses a vote, I send these thoughts about Sharon Dornfeld. She has serves our dear town – serves you and me – as the chair of the Police Commission …a fair and a principled chair. She came to her role from forty years as an attorney advocating for children. She is brilliant. She is a brilliant lawyer. And a brilliant human. With a large and beating heart that honestly, compassionately, effectively addresses the needs of the young – or neighbor of any age – who desperately need a champion. And she gives the same high degree of caring for us – of any age.
To say Sharon “serves the public” is to say she cares about you and me and listens with that brilliant legal mind, in concert with her large heart. She honors the law. It is sacred to her. She focuses on the question posed. And responds with integrity and grace (two qualities too lacking in this moment).
Sharon is my neighbor. Sharon is my friend. Sharon is my choice to continue her service to us – to you and me – on the Police Commission. She has my vote because she graces the office with the nobility of her soul and her mind and her heart. She has my vote because she has earned my vote. Sharon Dornfeld deserves my vote. And yours. In fact, I urge you to join me in voting Row A all the way, for Sharon and her excellent running mates, whose leadership is good for Ridgefield .
