Letter to the Editor – Kathryn Graf, parent and financial expert for BOE

I am deeply proud to endorse my friend, Kathryn Graf, for Ridgefield’s Board of Education. As a former elementary school teacher, I know how strong leadership, compassion, and clear vision can impact the lives of children. Kathryn embodies all of these qualities and more. Kathryn combines a sharp mind, professional expertise, and a caring heart. Kathryn brings her CPA background to the BOE and these skills are needed to ensure our tax dollars are used efficiently and effectively. She knows how to balance budgets responsibly, champion transparency, and ask the tough questions, while keeping the needs of students and families front and center. Kathryn believes every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and will put students and families at the center of every decision. When challenges arise, Kathryn approaches them with practicality and empathy, always seeking solutions that create real, lasting impact. I’ve always admired her steadfast belief that positive change is possible and her determination to roll up her sleeves and make it happen. Kathryn doesn’t just talk about ideas. She follows through, bringing people together and getting things done. Kathryn is a leader with both heart and skill, and Ridgefield would be fortunate to have her guiding the future of our schools. I know she will bring dedication, thoughtfulness, and compassion to the Board of Education.
