Current IWB team balances development and environmental protection. We need their responsible oversight.
Berkowicz, Carlson, Smith for IWB
The Inland Wetlands Board saved the day for Ridgefield and the environment. The proposal to raze a one story, single family residence to be replaced with a three story 14+ unit structure, including some ‘affordable’ units, on an already congested Abbott Ave. was unanimously rejected by the Inland Wetlands Board because of nearby wetlands and concerns over flooding.
Affordable housing is a pressing need and a necessary goal, but not at the expense of the environment. And to be literal, the expense of dealing with the long term consequences of ignoring the risk of environmental damage, is far greater than any short term housing fix.
The current IWB team is effective, ethical and committed. Re-elect Noah Berkowicz, Keith Carlson and David Smith to keep Ridgefield on the right track. Vote Row A all the way starting October 20th.
