Letter to the Editor – Selectperson Supports Graf, Sigel, Rice and Malhotra

Skilled Democratic BOE team brings finance, executive, education and leadership experience.

Connelly Endorses Row A BOE Team

It was a great pleasure to attend the recent Candidate Forum hosted by the League of Women Voters at the Ridgefield Library. The evening was a reminder that Ridgefield boards function best when members bring complementary skills to the table, and that is exactly what the Democratic slate for the Ridgefield Board of Education offers.

Kathryn Graf’s accounting expertise is particularly vital, given that the Board of Education is responsible for roughly 75% of our town’s budget. Her skills will help ensure that taxpayer dollars are managed responsibly and transparently. Scott Sigel combines executive and educational experience, offering the vision and strategic focus needed to help guide our schools into the future. Angela Rice brings hands on education experience, as a classroom teacher, administrator, and PTA leader, ensuring strong connections to administration and the needs of our children. The team’s anchor, BOE Chair Tina Malhotra, brings unmatched depth of experience and proven leadership in advancing collaboration and transparency on the Board.

Together, this team of passionate parent volunteers will supply the vision, critical skills and oversight needed to keep Ridgefield schools a vital part of our community. I urge you to join me in voting for Kathryn Graf, Scott Sigel, Angela Rice and Tina Malhotra on Row A.

Sean Connelly
