Letter to the Editor – Marconi: Vote Row A All The Way

Marconi: Vote Row A All The Way

Governing in the public interest requires melding good intentions with vision, judgment, ability, humility, personal integrity, and drive to serve the entire community. A high bar. Ridgefield is stable and thriving because Democratic leaders consistently clear that bar. Each member of the 2025 Democratic team, experienced incumbents and energetic new volunteers, will keep Ridgefield moving forward.

For Board of Education, Kathryn Graf, Scott Sigel, Angela Rice, and Tina Malhotra will turn good ideas into effective policy and strong governance. Tina provides steady leadership as current BOE Chair. A CPA, Kathryn’s expertise will enhance the Board’s oversight to ensure spending transparency and accountability. Scott, a CEO known for scaling organizations, brings innovative, fiscally responsible thinking. A teacher and PTA leader, Angela’s firsthand classroom experience will bring invaluable insights to the Board.

Board of Finance incumbents, Andrew Okrongly and Mike Rettger, have consistently delivered responsible budgeting to support essential services. Mike, a long-time resident and financial professional, is widely respected and trusted as Board Chair. Andrew, who grew up in Ridgefield and returned to raise his family, connects the perspectives of young parents and longtime residents. They will continue the optimized planning that undergirds Ridgefield’s fiscal stability.

Strong, balanced leadership on Police Commission is essential, especially as Ridgefield builds a new public safety facility. Current Chair Sharon Dornfeld provides continuity and trusted judgment, while attorney Stephen Riebling brings legal experience and a fresh, community-centered perspective.

The incumbent Democratic team for Inland Wetlands Board. Noah Berkowicz, Keith Carlson, and David Smith, is dedicated to the smart environmental stewardship and oversight to ensure sustainable development that preserves Ridgefield’s unique character and livability.

The results speak for themselves.

Early voting begins October 20 at Town Hall. Vote Row A, all the way, for Ridgefield’s future.

Rudy Marconi
