Ridgefield DTC categorically condemns violence and all those who promote or exploit violence. All Americans of good conscience are shocked and traumatized by the shooting at the former president’s rally yesterday. He, the other victims, and all their loved ones are in our thoughts and prayers.

Our region, as with too many regions across our nation, knows the pain and suffering that mass shootings inflict. We hope the deadly awfulness of yesterday’s incident will inspire elected officials and courts to labor to reverse the shocking proliferation of guns in our society, which are the main implements of such fatal violence.
