Ridgefield Democrats Announce Dynamic Slate of Candidates Ready to Lead

In a resounding show of unity and vision, the Ridgefield Democratic Party approved a powerhouse slate of 18 candidates for the upcoming November election at their caucus Tuesday night.

With 13 experienced incumbents returning to seek reelection, the Democratic ticket brings a proven track record of steady leadership, sound fiscal management, and forward-thinking solutions. For six consecutive years, Democrats have held the majority across Ridgefield’s eight elective boards and have shown what excellent governance can do.

“We’re not just running on what we’ve accomplished, we’re running on a bold vision for Ridgefield’s future,” said DTC Chair Arny DiLaura. “From smart zoning and excellent schools to robust public safety and vibrant open spaces, our candidates are committed to what makes Ridgefield special.”

This year’s slate reflects a powerful blend of seasoned leaders and fresh voices: individuals with diverse backgrounds in education, business, law, tech, non-profit, public safety, the arts, and volunteerism. Many have already served Ridgefield through civic engagement and professional leadership, and all are united by a deep commitment to transparency, sustainability, and community-first governance.

As national politics continue to cast long shadows on local communities, Ridgefield Democrats are standing strong to protect local values and resist harmful policies from Washington.

The campaign will feature public forums, neighborhood meet-and-greets, and interactive digital outreach, all designed to empower voters with direct access to the candidates and their priorities.

“We’re not just asking for your vote. We’re asking for your voice,” DiLaura added. “Let’s shape the future of Ridgefield together.”
