Maher: Experience and strong steady child-centered leadership makes the difference for Ridgefield schools and families.
State Senator Supports Graf, Sigel, Rice, Malhotra
As a trained social worker and as Ridgefield’s State Senator, I am proud to endorse the Democratic team for the Board of Education. Kathryn Graf, Scott Sigel, Angela Rice and Tina Malhotra are the committed people Ridgefield needs to keep our schools stellar and our children thriving. Strong schools are the backbone of our towns, they enhance our children’s futures, sustain property values, and keep Ridgefield an attractive place for families and businesses.
My work in the State Senate, as Chair of the Children’s Committee and Vice-Chair of the Human Services Committee, has shown me that good governance at the local level matters now more than ever. My focus on children’s mental health, early childhood supports, and equitable access to learning for students with special needs is reflected in Ridgefield’s schools. This Democratic team on Row A for the BOE is made up of passionate parents willing and ready to serve, with the professional skills we need at the table.
Kathryn Graf is an experienced CPA with Fortune 500 experience. Scott Sigel is a visionary non-profit CEO and education advocate. Angela Rice is a lifelong teacher, administrator, and Ridgefield PTA leader, and Tina Malhotra, our current BOE Chair, is an extraordinary leader on the Board of Education and in a variety of civic organizations serving Ridgefield. Together, the Democratic team will bring the financial expertise, creativity, educational perspective and executive leadership needed on the BOE.
Electing experienced, thoughtful leaders to the BOE ensures Ridgefield continues to attract excellent educators, maintain top-ranked schools, and respond nimbly to challenges like staffing, expanding curriculum and student mental health, to serve all children. I urge Ridgefield voters to support the Democratic BOE slate, for steady stewardship, strong schools, and every child’s opportunity to succeed. Vote Row A all the way starting October 20th.
Sincerely,
Ceci Maher, MSW
State Senator, District 26
