Consentino Shares Extreme, “Trumpian” Views on Immigrants and Naturalized Citizens

Early this year, Consentino expressed his opposition to Republican gubernatorial primary candidate Harry Arora, based solely on Arora’s foreign birth and upbringing, saying: “I would like the man chosen to represent my state, & in turn my people, to at the very least have grown up in Connecticut.” He described the prospect of a governor who had not grown up in Connecticut or even in the same hemisphere as: “deeply spiritually offensive,” further elaborating, “I want a candidate who has roots in my home, not one who has transplanted themselves.” Source: The Post & Email, February 13, 2026.

Why This Matters

Consentino’s far right views and activism are 180 degrees removed from Ridgefield’s welcoming, inclusive, and compassionate values. Furthermore, his attempt to hide his views and activism during his current election campaign is essentially a fraud on the electorate and makes him unfit for public office.
